Heating & Cooling MOGOVOLT
Heating & Cooling is looking for a residential HVAC/R installer or technician to help build out our heating and cooling division. This role is focused on residential HVAC installation, refrigerant work, equipment placement, line-set routing, condensate routing, startup, and commissioning. Electrical installation work is handled separately by MOGOVOLT's electrical division. Pay $40-$55/hour , depending on experience, EPA certification, and ability to work independently Additional performance-based compensation may be available based on installation quality, reliability, productivity, and ability to run work independently Primary Work Install residential mini-split systems Install ductless indoor heads and outdoor condenser units Install heat pump outdoor units connected to indoor air handlers Install heat pump outdoor units connected to furnace / coil systems Route and secure refrigerant line sets Route condensate drains and condensate pump discharge lines where required Perform pressure testing, evacuation, refrigerant handling, and startup procedures Assist with system commissioning and final verification Decommission existing HVAC equipment where allowed by license, permit, and company scope Coordinate with electricians, plumbers, general contractors, and homeowners during installations Required Skills Residential HVAC installation experience Ability to install indoor and outdoor HVAC equipment Ability to work with refrigerant lines, evacuation, pressure testing, charging, and startup procedures Understanding of mini-split systems, heat pumps, air handlers, furnaces, and basic ducted HVAC layouts Ability to identify proper equipment placement, clearances, condensate routing, line-set routing, and service access Ability to read installation manuals and follow manufacturer requirements Ability to perform clean, organized work in finished residential homes Ability to communicate clearly with the office, crew, and customer Required Certifications / Licensing EPA Section 608 certification required for refrigerant handling Residential HVAC installation experience required Valid driver's license required Preferred Experience Mini-split installation Heat pump installation Furnace and coil system installation Air handler installation Refrigerant recovery, evacuation, pressure testing, and charging Condensate pump and drain routing Thermostat and control coordination Startup documentation and commissioning checklists Residential retrofit work in occupied homes Familiarity with gas furnace systems preferred Gas piping or gas appliance connection experience preferred only where allowed by proper licensing and permit requirements Responsibilities Install HVAC equipment according to manufacturer specifications Route and secure refrigerant lines, condensate drains, and related system components Pressure test, evacuate, and prepare systems for startup Charge or verify refrigerant charge where applicable Assist with commissioning and decommissioning of equipment Verify basic system operation after installation Maintain a clean and safe work area Protect floors, walls, finishes, landscaping, and customer property Document installation details, photos, model numbers, and startup information Communicate material needs, jobsite issues, and change conditions clearly Coordinate electrical needs with MOGOVOLT's licensed electrical crew Ideal Candidate Takes pride in clean residential work Understands that HVAC is a system, not just equipment replacement Can think through the installation path before starting work Is comfortable working in crawlspaces, attics, garages, mechanical rooms, and finished living spaces Can work independently but also coordinate with a broader electrical/HVAC team Is careful with refrigerant handling, gas-system coordination, condensate routing, and manufacturer requirements Wants to help build a serious residential HVAC division with long-term standards Work Type Residential HVAC installation Retrofit and new construction work Mini-splits, heat pumps, air handlers, furnace/coil systems Full-time preferred Pay:
