Job Description The Apprentice HVAC Installer supports the installation of heating and air conditioning systems in residential and/or commercial settings while learning the fundamentals of ductwork design, mechanical systems, and electrical components. This role offers hands-on training in HVAC installation, service, and inspection, working closely with experienced technicians and construction trades to ensure systems meet quality and safety standards. Responsibilities + Assist in installing heating and air conditioning systems according to company standards and industry best practices. + Support the layout and installation of ductwork, including measuring, cutting, and fitting components. + Begin to learn and apply basic ductwork design principles under the guidance of experienced technicians. + Cut and drill holes in walls, floors, and other building materials to accommodate HVAC equipment and duct runs, following safety procedures. + Use hand and power tools safely and effectively for HVAC installation and construction tasks. + Participate in on-the-job training to build knowledge of HVAC systems, boilers, and related mechanical equipment. Essential Skills + At least 1 year of previous on-the-job HVAC experience. + Hands-on experience with HVAC installation in a construction or service environment. + Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively for mechanical and construction tasks. + Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn HVAC systems, boilers, and related equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications + EPA certification (such as EPA Universal) or the ability to obtain it as required. + Mech 1 certification or equivalent mechanical qualification, or progress toward obtaining it. + Construction experience, particularly in mechanical or electrical trades, is beneficial. + Strong interest in developing a long-term career in the HVAC trade.   • $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
