Install residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems safely, efficiently, and according to manufacturer specifications and company standards. This role involves working in homes and job sites to deliver high-quality installations while providing excellent customer service. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Typical schedule is Monday - Friday with start times based on job assignments. Extended hours and occasional weekends may be required to meet project demands. Paid meal and rest breaks in accordance with state and company policy. Essential Job Functions:
Install residential HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless systems, and related components Perform system change-outs, retrofits, and new construction installs Set and connect equipment, ductwork, refrigeration lines, electrical wiring, and gas piping as applicable Ensure installations meet code requirements, manufacturer specifications, and company quality standards Test systems for proper operation, airflow, refrigerant charge, and safety Complete start-ups and final walkthroughs with homeowners Maintain a clean and safe work area at all job sites Load, unload, and transport tools, equipment, and materials Communicate with install team members, supervisors, and dispatch Accurately complete job documentation using company software tools Assist warehouse and service teams as needed Other duties and tasks as assigned Qualifications Education and Experience Must background screening Valid driver's license and insurable through company insurance carrier Able to communicate clearly in English verbally and in writing Residential HVAC installation experience preferred EPA Certification (Type II or Universal) preferred Ability to read installation manuals, blueprints, and schematics Basic computer and mobile device proficiency Skills & Competencies Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools Attention to detail and quality workmanship Commitment to safety and proper procedures Time management and dependability Team-oriented with a positive, can-do attitude Professional customer-service skills Ability to work under deadlines and in varied conditions Work Environment This position works primarily in residential homes and job sites, including attics, crawl spaces, basements, and rooftops. Exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, and construction environments is expected. Physical Demands Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and materials up to 100 pounds Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights Must be able to see, hear, speak, and safely operate tools and vehicles
