Commercial Service Technician

The Commercial Service Technician is responsible for the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of HVAC systems in commercial settings. This role ensures complete customer satisfaction on every job while upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and professionalism. The ideal candidate is a skilled technician with strong diagnostic capabilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to doing the job right the first time.

What You'll Do:

Properly diagnose and repair a wide range of commercial HVAC equipment, including gas furnaces, boilers, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless systems, unit heaters, ERVs, exhaust fans, economizer systems, VAV systems, and damper controls. Explain services to customers prior to performing diagnostics and repairs. Provide customers with equipment replacement options when major repairs are needed on systems over 10 years old. Complete paperwork daily, accurately recording all hours, materials, and work performed before leaving the jobsite. Communicate professionally with customers and coordinators when checking in and out of jobs. Complete quality work on or below budgeted labor hours. Perform standby on-call 24-hour service on occasion. Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to lower-level technicians. Attend and actively engage in scheduled meetings to ensure alignment on goals, communication, and performance. Demonstrate consistent alignment with company core values in all interactions and decision-making processes. Additional tasks may be assigned based on departmental needs, ensuring alignment with the role and workload capacity.

What We're Looking For:

You must be at least 18 years old. Valid Washington State driver's license. EPA Certification required. 06A Electrical Certification with required CEUs. Demonstrated diagnostic capabilities, proper pricing knowledge, and strong customer service skills. Ability to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs with minimal assistance across a full range of commercial HVAC equipment. Willingness to invest in continuing education and stay current with tools and technologies used in HVAC service. Professional appearance and attitude at all times.
