Description:
Under direction of Associate Director of Facilities, the Technician III maintains and repairs all aspects of building infrastructure and equipment, ensuring optimal performance of HVAC systems, plumbing systems, furniture, and other peripherals. They conduct comprehensive inspections to maintain peak efficiency of building systems and diagnose complex electrical and mechanical problems. The Technician III also performs carpentry and welding tasks for repairs and remodeling projects, interprets blueprints, and prepares detailed reports documenting issues and completed repairs to ensure effective maintenance management. Starting wage is $27.46. Start date is July 1, 2027; potential for an earlier start date based on candidate's availability and District needs.

Essential Functions:
Maintain and repair all building infrastructure and equipment, including HVAC systems (air conditioning, cooling chillers, boilers, air handling units), plumbing systems, furniture, lockers, and other peripherals.
Perform carpentry and welding tasks for repairs and extensive remodeling projects.
Conduct comprehensive inspections and maintain peak efficiency of all building systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and plumbing) to ensure optimal performance.
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical problems within the building's various systems (electrical, HVAC, plumbing).
Complies with safety and environmental regulations and procedures including the handling of chemicals, solvents, blood, body fluids and/or body tissues.
Prepare and maintain written reports documenting building, equipment issues, and repairs completed.
Interpret blueprints for various building systems to diagnose problems, plan repairs, and identify and specify parts and supplies required for maintenance tasks.

Qualifications
Required
Education:
Career Technical/Vocational School, state recognized apprenticeship or a related field.
Licensure:
A valid Wisconsin Driver's License.
Certificates, Certifications, or Other Training:
CPR/AED/First Aid Certification, Lift Training
Previous Work-Related Experience:
4-6 years work-related experience in HVAC systems, construction and building maintenance.
Preferred
Licensure:
Power Engineer/Boiler Operator 3rd class License.
