Job Description

We are looking for experienced Brazers who possess at least three years of industrial or commercial brazing expertise . You will be responsible for assisting with the installation and fabrication of water and refrigeration subassemblies for commercial HVAC systems during a three to six-month traveling contract located in Virginia . Assignment Details A three to six-month onsite contract role based in Virginia . Compensation set at $34 per hour . A minimum of 50 hours per week is guaranteed. Receive a $45 daily tax-free per diem , paid for all seven days of the week. Single-occupancy private hotel lodging is included. Travel time is fully compensated. Candidates must successfully clear both a drug screen and a background check. Core Duties Construct and mount refrigeration and water sub-assemblies for HVAC equipment. Cut, shape, align, and braze copper piping while installing necessary refrigeration parts. Execute brazing tasks on copper-to-brass, copper-to-stainless, and copper-to-copper connections utilizing silver-based fillers and oxy-acetylene equipment. Ensure the integrity of large-diameter piping joints from 2-1/8" to 4"+ to help prevent leaks and maintain system efficiency. Interpret and adhere to technical diagrams, blueprints, work instructions, ECNs, and BOMs to ensure project accuracy. Required Skills and Experience A minimum of three years of recent industrial or commercial brazing background (residential-only experience is not sufficient). Demonstrated proficiency in brazing large-diameter copper piping beyond standard residential tasks. Skilled in the operation of silver-based alloys and oxy-acetylene torches . Capable of interpreting technical drawings and blueprints using standard and metric units. Knowledge of effective joint preparation, heat management, and brazing methods for mixed metals and copper. Background in commercial HVAC or refrigeration systems. Strong mechanical skills with proficiency in using power and hand tools.
