Job Description
Our client, a custom builder of medical trailers and event transportation is seeking a HVAC/Generator Mechanic/Custom Builder to assist in large project automotive builds on a variety of Medical Trailers. This role pays in the $30-$35hr based on experience, involves NO TRAVEL, and works in a climate-controlled facility in New Berlin, WI. Hours are standard at 6am -3:30pm with flexibility and ability for optional overtime. The role comes with a strong benefit plan and great flexibility for work/life balance. The ideal candidate will have past experience as a "mechanic" AND possess a strong knowledge of a variety of building projects involving the mechanics of HVAC and Power generation. This individual will work closely with a team of fabrication/carpentry experts that build with, wood, steel, copper, sheet metal, aluminum siding, fiberglass, roofing and weatherproof materials. This person will assure finalization of trailers as to HVAC systems and power that will run MRI machines, Xray machines and a variety of other critical medical equipment. Working with little supervision while following all health and safety standards is essential. The incumbent of this role will: Perform mechanical assembly of HVAC systems, HVAC products, generators and power sources. Oversee and assure all HVAC systems are installed and properly working. Troubleshoot HVAC issues with a variety of custom HVAC systems Use creativity and teamwork to tackle a variety of custom projects using building/carpentry/fabrication skills. Mount generators and HVAC units. Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements Lay out floorings, duct systems, roofing or drywall ensuring compatibility with HVAC and power source needs. Inspect and conduct repairs or maintenance Use creativity and teamwork to tackle a variety of custom projects using strong carpentry/fabrication skills. Qualifications 2+ years experience working as a mechanic around HVAC systems and/or Power Generation 2+ years "building stuff" in a custom environment Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials including, wood, steel, sheet metal, copper, aluminum siding, fiberglass, roofing and weatherproof materials Understanding or experience with light welding Understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction Ability to read technical documents and drawings Ability to read and understand blueprints, manuals, and work with computers, machines and motion-control robots. Strong communication skills and ability to work with teams.
