Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems across residential, commercial, and industrial properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor climate control, energy efficiency, and system reliability. Pay is based on experience•Responsibilities Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, boilers, and refrigeration equipment according to schematics and design specifications. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems to ensure peak performance. Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to accurately assemble and install equipment. Conduct system repairs involving plumbing, refrigeration components, electrical wiring, welding, and mechanical parts. Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to identify electrical issues and perform equipment repairs efficiently. Maintain detailed service records, installation logs, and maintenance reports for each job performed. Collaborate with property managers and clients to assess system needs and recommend appropriate solutions; ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes. Operate a variety of field service tools including welding equipment, refrigerant recovery units, and diagnostic instruments like ohmmeters. Assist in training junior technicians on installation procedures, safety protocols, and technical troubleshooting techniques. Qualifications Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with a strong background in construction or property maintenance. Knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics interpretation, and mechanical systems installation. Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is highly desirable. Familiarity with plumbing systems, appliance repair, boiler operation, and general equipment repair is preferred. Mechanical knowledge combined with field service experience in HVAC/R environments. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters confidently for electrical troubleshooting. Skilled in welding techniques necessary for ductwork or component fabrication when required. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers or similar vehicles preferred. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team under tight deadlines. Certifications related to HVAC/R or refrigeration are advantageous; ongoing training is encouraged to stay current with industry standards.
