Job Description

Manual assembly role focused on prototype and production printed circuit board assembly, mechanical component inspection, machine changeovers, documentation, and electronic component preparation. Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent 5+ years of hands-on mechanical experience in a related field Knowledge of AS9100 Knowledge of component identification and polarity Ability to read and interpret customer schematic diagrams, documentation, drawings, and requirements Basic mechanical assembly skills Ability to perform repetitive work Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Ability to safely operate various equipment, including microscopes Ability to lift and carry at least 35 pounds for short distances Experience documenting production operations and defects Preferred Skills Printed circuit board assembly experience Prototype printed circuit board assembly experience Production printed circuit board assembly experience Machine changeover experience Microscope inspection experience Coil inductor fabrication experience Transformer component testing experience BGA component preparation experience Solder paste and solder sphere application experience Component tinning experience using solder pot Conformal coating masking experience Chassis disassembly experience Compound and adhesive application experience Job Responsibilities Perform manual assembly operations on prototype and production printed circuit boards Perform machine changeovers Document operations as performed Follow Quality Management System requirements Perform assembly operations according to training and customer requirements Interpret customer-supplied documentation and drawings Inspect mechanical components and assemblies using a microscope Verify mechanical components and assemblies meet specific requirements Clean parts and assemblies at various stages of production using cleaning devices and equipment Complete and maintain production records Complete and maintain defect records Fabricate coil inductors Perform quality inspection, measurement, and sorting of coil inductors Test, measure, sort, and analyze transformer components Prepare BGA components using solder paste and spheres Tin components using a solder pot Mask boards and components according to schematic or product sample before conformal coating Prepare equipment for machine changeovers Hand load components to printed circuit boards Disassemble chassis for troubleshooting or debug preparation Replace labels and clean debris from assemblies Apply compounds and adhesives Maintain a clean and safe work environment Perform other duties as assigned
