Job Description

Job Overview We is seeking a Mechanical / Optical Assembly Technician to support the build and integration of our precision optical systems. This role is hands-on and detail-driven, focused on assembling high-precision mechanical and optical components into fully functional systems. The ideal candidate is disciplined, methodical, and takes pride in producing high-quality work in a structured, process-driven environment. Responsibilities Assemble precision mechanical and optical sub-assemblies and systems according to engineering drawings and work instructions Align and integrate optical components (lenses, cameras, illumination systems, sensors) Perform mechanical assembly including frames, stages, enclosures, and motion systems Interpret and follow: Standard operating procedures Assist with system integration, testing, and debug Identify and report build issues, inconsistencies, or potential improvements Maintain clean and organized workstations consistent with quality standards Support continuous improvement of assembly processes and documentation Skills 3+ years of experience in precision mechanical assembly, preferably in Optical systems, Medical, or aerospace devices Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and assembly documentation Experience working with hand tools, torque wrenches, and measurement equipment of tight tolerances and precision components High attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently while following defined processes Preferred Qualifications Experience with optical alignment or imaging systems Exposure to cleanroom or controlled environments
Pay:
$25.37 - $30.55 per hour
