FULL DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an experienced Hydraulic Systems Mechanic to support a growing industrial manufacturing operation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting hydraulic systems, solving mechanical challenges, and working hands-on with production equipment. The selected candidate will play a key role in keeping critical equipment operating safely and efficiently while supporting maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives. The selected candidate will be responsible for: Troubleshooting hydraulic systems and diagnosing equipment issues Repairing and replacing pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, and related components Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment Reading and interpreting hydraulic schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals Testing hydraulic systems to verify proper pressure, flow rates, and performance Responding to equipment breakdowns and minimizing downtime Assisting with installations, modifications, and equipment upgrades Supporting reliability initiatives and preventive maintenance programs Performing basic welding and fabrication as needed Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation Collaborating with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to improve equipment performance Working hands-on with industrial machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Following established safety procedures and using required personal protective equipment The selected candidate will also possess: High school diploma or GED required Technical training, vocational certification, or related education preferred 3 to 5+ years of hydraulic maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial environments Experience working with pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, and hydraulic circuits Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Ability to read hydraulic schematics and technical drawings Familiarity with pneumatic and basic electrical systems Experience using hydraulic testing and diagnostic equipment Basic welding and fabrication skills preferred Manufacturing, heavy industrial, or extrusion experience highly desirable Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Ability to work independently and as part of a team Basic computer skills for maintenance software and recordkeeping Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday from 4:00 AM to 12:30 PM, with flexibility to work later as needed
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, climb, and work around industrial equipment throughout the shift Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull tools, parts, hoses, components, and equipment as needed Ability to perform hands-on mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment Ability to work around machinery, production equipment, noise, and industrial work areas Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, welding/fabrication tools, and required personal protective equipment Ability to follow safety procedures and work in compliance with established manufacturing and maintenance standards
