$27.00 - $30.00 per hour Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team in Hialeah, FL. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in mechanical assembly, particularly within the aerospace or aviation sectors. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for the final assembly, testing, and inspection of aircraft landing gear components. Schedule & Shift Full-Time On-Site Primary Job Responsibilities Perform final assembly and build-up of landing gear components, subassemblies, and complete assemblies Install seals, O-rings, bushings, bearings, fittings, and hardware using proper tools and calibrated equipment Torque hardware to required specifications and document critical measurements Verify proper alignment, fitment, and functionality of assembled components Perform hydraulic shock strut testing, gap checks, and other required functional testing Collaborate with Quality personnel to complete in-process and final inspections Prepare completed assemblies for shipment or customer return Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, parts utilized, serial numbers, and inspection results Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment Support continuous improvement initiatives and assembly process consistency Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Minimum 3 years of mechanical assembly experience Experience in aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, MRO, or precision mechanical assembly environments preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Experience using hand tools, torque wrenches, hydraulic presses, and alignment tools Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions Strong communication and teamwork skills Aerospace or aircraft maintenance experience preferred Experience with aircraft landing gear components preferred Technical school training or A&P License preferred Familiarity with FAA Part 145 Repair Station procedures preferred Experience working with OEM Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs) preferred Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to stand for extended periods Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination Ability to work in a manufacturing and repair environment Ability to wear required PPE Ability to hear, understand, and communicate clearly
