Job Description

Landing Gear Assembly Mechanic Location:
Miami, FL 33166
Shift:
Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Our FAA-certified Repair Station Client is seeking a highly experienced Landing Gear Assembly Mechanic with 10+ years of hands-on experience assembling and overhauling multiple types of aircraft landing gear systems. This role is intended for a seasoned technician who can independently perform complex assemblies while maintaining compliance with FAA and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Assemble, overhaul, and repair aircraft landing gear systems using OEM manuals and FAA-approved data. Perform advanced assembly tasks including torquing, safety wiring, rigging, shimming, bushing and bearing installation, and alignment. Assemble various landing gear platforms including commercial, regional, and business aircraft (as applicable). Conduct dimensional checks and verify tolerances using precision measurement tools. Identify discrepancies and nonconforming conditions during assembly. Accurately document work performed on work orders and travelers. Maintain compliance with FAA Part 145 procedures and company standards. Work collaboratively with inspection, quality, and production teams to meet turnaround times. Requirements 10+ years of aircraft landing gear assembly experience required. Experience working with multiple aircraft landing gear types. Strong ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and CMMs. Advanced experience with precision tools and measurement equipment. Experience in an FAA Part 145 Repair Station or MRO environment preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must pass FAA-required drug test and be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Strong attention to detail and reliability. Preferred Qualifications Experience assembling complete landing gear systems from component level to final build. Experience working in a high-volume landing gear overhaul environment.
