The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various crane systems and lifting equipment within a manufacturing facility. This role is vital to ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operation of cranes and related machinery, supporting continuous production and operational excellence. The ideal applicant will possess extensive technical knowledge, hands-on experience with industrial cranes, hydraulics, electrical systems, and a strong commitment to safety standards. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on overhead cranes, gantry cranes, scissor lifts, and other lifting equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and control system issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters. Conduct repairs on crane components including motors, brakes, gears, limit switches, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify alignment and component integrity during maintenance procedures. Interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams to accurately diagnose problems and implement effective solutions. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking service history and scheduling future work. Assist with the installation of new crane systems or upgrades in accordance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Collaborate with field service teams to ensure timely repairs and minimize downtime across the manufacturing facility. Support safety initiatives by adhering to OSHA regulations related to high voltage systems (up to 600V), low voltage controls, and general industrial safety protocols. Provide technical support for customer service inquiries related to crane operation or troubleshooting issues. Qualifications Proven industrial mechanic or industrial electrician experience within a manufacturing environment. Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, electrical wiring (including high voltage), and schematics interpretation. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CMMS software, HVAC/R systems, welding (including welding), and precision measuring instruments. Familiarity with industrial maintenance practices in manufacturing facilities that utilize heavy machinery such as scissor lifts. Strong analysis skills for diagnosing complex mechanical or electrical failures efficiently. Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams fluently in English. Experience working with low voltage control systems as well as high voltage power supplies. Knowledge of safety standards related to industrial equipment operation in compliance with OSHA regulations. Military background or training in relevant technical fields is considered an asset. Excellent customer service skills when interacting with internal teams or external clients regarding crane operations or repairs.
