$20.00/hr -$28.00/hr Responsibilities of the
Electromechanical Assembly Technician:
Assemble electronic and mechanical assemblies using hand-soldering, repair, and touch-up techniques for both Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Through-Hole (TH) components. Work with cables, wire harnesses, and small parts, sometimes under a microscope. Interpret and follow work instructions, drawings, models, and schematics. Perform quality control inspections on PCBs and assemblies, identifying defects and making repairs. Troubleshoot assembly issues and suggest process improvements. Qualifications of the
Electromechanical Assembly Technician:
J-STD-001
(IPC-610) soldering certification (recently expired acceptable). Ability to read/write/communicate in English; mechanical aptitude; familiarity with PCB assembly, cable harness, and EMS quality control. 1+ year in PCB assembly or cable harness assembly (commercial, military, or prime contractor) is preferred. Understanding of IPC 610 standards, AS9100, ISO 9001, and SMT/TH processes. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments (e.g., calipers), and soldering equipment.
