Mechanic - Deepstep

MAJOR DUTIES

• Ability to work well with others.
• Willing to follow safety instructions and listen to supervisors.
• Willing to attend training.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Two- or four-year degree from an accredited school or technical college, or five years' experience in the maintenance field
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems
• Ability to train helpers while performing tasks
• Ability to repair most industrial equipment at plant and mines
• Ability to recognize bad parts and know which parts need replacing
• Ability to completely fill out maintenance work orders MWO's
• Knowledge of what tools are required to complete a job and ability to estimate time to complete jobs
• Ability to thread and run pipe
• Knowledge of the names of all industrial equipment at the plant and mines and how it operates
• Knowledge of how to operate all shop equipment
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Ability to fill in for the Lead Mechanic when necessary
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including covering weekends and call-outs
• Ability to complete Site Specific forms, perform New Task Training and identify training needs
• Good communication skills
• Ability to ensure safety policies are followed by others
• Ability to read and interpret operation, installation, maintenance manuals etc
• Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings such as PID's Thiele offers excellent pay and a comprehensive fringe benefits package.
