Licensed Elevator Mechanic

Service Technician - Elevator Mechanic Savannah, GA $45/hr - $60/hr We are seeking an experienced Service Technician / Elevator Mechanic for a direct hire opportunity in Savannah, GA. Candidates must have an active Elevator Mechanic License or Certified Elevator Technician certification and experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining elevator systems. Local candidates only.

Responsibilities:

Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on elevators, dumbwaiters, and wheelchair lifts Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and safety checks Perform annual testing of elevator safety devices Repair and replace defective elevator components Use electrical testing equipment, hand tools, grinders, drill motors, and rigging equipment Ensure compliance with OSHA and safety regulations Participate in emergency on-call service when required

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required Elevator Mechanic License or Certified Elevator Technician certification required Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience Experience with elevator maintenance and repair Ability to read and use testing equipment and tools Must be comfortable working in elevator shafts, pits, and mechanical spaces

Physical Requirements:

Ability to climb ladders, crawl, stoop, and work at heights Lift and carry 50+ lbs regularly Work in hot, dusty, oily, and industrial environments
