Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Journeyman and also a Laminate Installer. In this role, you will be responsible for executing balcony demolition, hauling away debris and framing new structure as necessary. The laminate installer will be responsible to install new laminates in about 4 small areas Duties Measure, cut, and install laminate flooring, tile, and other flooring materials according to project specifications and schematics Read blueprints and schematics to determine layout, pattern, and installation procedures for flooring and trim work Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for cutting, sanding, buffing, and finishing surfaces Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or applying primers as needed for optimal adhesion of flooring materials Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris responsibly, and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times Skills Extensive experience in construction and demolition. Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, drills, sanders, caulking guns, and buffing equipment; familiarity with power tools is essential Skilled in carpentry tasks including trim carpentry, cabinet installation, fixture mounting, and remodeling projects Experience in water damage restoration industry practices; knowledge of restoration processes is a plus Good physical condition with the ability to stand for long periods; comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces as required
