Job Title:
Assembly Associate Job Description This role focuses on assembling products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment using hand and power tools while following safety and quality standards. You will work on your feet for most of the shift, handling materials, reading basic measurements, and contributing to efficient production processes in an indoor/outdoor plant setting. Responsibilities Assemble components and products using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment as required. Follow assembly instructions, basic blueprints, and production guidelines to ensure accurate and consistent builds. Use a tape measure and other measuring devices to verify dimensions and ensure components meet specifications. Work safely around moving mechanical parts, truss assemblies, and production equipment in a manufacturing environment. Continuously stand, walk, reach, handle, and manipulate materials throughout the shift to support production flow. Lift, carry, and move materials and products, including continuously lifting up to 25 pounds, frequently lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lifting up to 100 pounds with proper technique. Maintain awareness of surroundings in an environment with loud noise, vibration, and potential exposure to airborne particles. Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment such as ear plugs and eye protection. Support production goals by working efficiently, maintaining a steady work pace, and contributing to overall manufacturing output. Work both indoors and outdoors as needed, including in varying weather conditions such as extreme heat and cold. Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure safe, smooth, and timely completion of assembly tasks. Essential Skills Hands-on assembly experience in a production, construction, or manufacturing environment. Proficiency in using hand tools for assembly and construction tasks. Experience using power tools safely in a manufacturing or construction setting. Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately. Comfort working with truss or similar structural assemblies, or willingness to learn. Understanding of basic manufacturing processes and production workflows. Strong safety awareness and adherence to safety procedures in environments with moving mechanical parts and loud noise. Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, and handle materials continuously throughout a long shift. Ability to continuously lift up to 25 pounds, frequently lift up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds. Adequate vision for close work, distance viewing, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus to safely perform assembly tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience reading and working from basic blueprints or assembly diagrams. Background in construction, truss manufacturing, or similar industrial environments. Familiarity with production safety practices, including lockout/tagout and safe tool handling. Comfort working in loud, dynamic environments with exposure to vibration and airborne particles. Ability to work early morning shifts and extended hours, including Saturdays, as part of a production schedule. Why Work Here? Work Environment You will work in an indoor/outdoor plant environment that is consistently loud and fast-paced. The role requires continuous standing and walking, frequent handling of materials, and regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and production equipment. You may encounter airborne particles, vibration, and varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. The shift runs from 4:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and may involve extended hours to meet production needs. Personal protective equipment is mandatory, including ear plugs for noise protection, eye protection, and any other required safety gear provided by the location. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boise, ID. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
