If you thrive on methodical teardown, exact measurements, and flawless reassembly, our 2nd shift team is ready for you. The Challenge Picture a large vertical pump arriving at the shop. You orchestrate a controlled teardown, chart measurements with micrometers and calipers, scrutinize clearances, and rebuild to specification—leveraging overhead cranes and fork trucks to handle weight safely. Next, a horizontal unit demands your blueprint-reading expertise to set fixtures, reassemble, and verify tolerances. Repeat with unwavering accuracy. Your Core Responsibilities Diagnose, strip down, repair, and reassemble horizontal and vertical pumps Translate blueprints/schematics into step-by-step work procedures and foundations/fixtures Operate manual, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric tools with confidence Use M&TE (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to inspect components to spec Meet precise tolerances and uphold quality standards Rig and move heavy components via overhead cranes and forklifts What You'll Need to Succeed High school diploma or equivalent 7+ years of pump mechanic or equivalent rotating equipment rebuild experience Proficiency with hand/power tools and impact guns Overhead crane and forklift operation skills Comfort with inspection tools and documentation Clear communication (written and oral) Manual dexterity, control precision, critical thinking, deductive reasoning Able to lift up to 50 lbs. Environment You'll Work In The environmental characteristic for this position is an industrial setting with large machinery, overhead cranes, trucks and forklifts. Candidates should be able to adapt to a traditional warehouse environment.
