APT/Blauberg is a premier manufacturer of generator and distribution switchboards, switchgear, and control panels. We have immediate job openings for Mechanical Assemblers at our product manufacturing facility located in Lafayette, Indiana.

Work Environment:

New State-of-the-Art Modern Manufacturing Facility On-the-job training is provided by the Company Clean, hard-working, family-friendly, business-tempo atmosphere Manufacturing, Assembly, Metal Work for Electrical Equipment, Shop Work State-of-the-art heavy-duty manual & power tools & industrial toolboxes Adequate quantity of tools provided for each group's individual toolbox Job Responsibilities may include the following: Assemble many components of electrical distribution equipment per drawings Proper utilization of all common shop tools Accurately make measurements in 1/32" increments Perform quality and safety inspections on all parts, orders, and equipment Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary or other assigned duties as required

Required Experience and Skills:

Detail-oriented person; the work requires attention to detail Perform all functions related to assembly operations with minimal training Must be a self-motivated individual and work well in a team environment Must be competent in the use of hand tools and power tools Assure compliance with appropriate quality standards/requirements Responsible for personal and area safety as well as general housekeeping Basic math skills (ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers and common fractions)

Desired Experience and Skills:

Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics Computer literacy Familiarity with AutoCAD prints/drawings Prior contractor/assembly/wiring or fabrication experience desired Ability to travel if necessary

Education & Qualifications:

Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent combination of education, work experience, and skill development required
