We are currently seeking qualified candidates for an outside Industrial Service Technician , who will be responsible for service of existing customer accounts within the pneumatic tools and fasteners segment of our business. This position does not require relocation but will require substantial travel and possible overnight stays covering Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Ohio territory.Position Description:
This position reports to the Industrial Direct Sales Manager and has the responsibility of service of existing customer accounts, which includes, but is not limited to:- Establish relationships with pallet, wooded reel, container, and other industrial wood manufacturers.
- Positively promote Magnum® brand, Mid Continent Steel & Wire, Mid Continent Nail and Deacero, creating an atmosphere of trust in all offerings of products and services.
- Contact customers by personal visits and phone
- Accomplish pneumatic tool and service requirements with existing customers.
- Work in conjunction with Sales and Service representatives on assigned accounts
- Maintain pneumatic tool repair parts inventory in provided service vehicle ensuring its accuracy on a regular and timely basis.
- Adhere to health and safety policy, and other requirements relating to care of equipment.
- Work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in a service capacity
- Mechanically proficient and comfortable with hand tools - preferred
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, preferably with pneumatically, electrically or hydraulically driven fasteners
- Superior communication and people skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Computer skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite of programs
- Smart phone/tablet proficient
- Entrepreneurial spirit and dedicated work ethic
