Job Description

Position Overview The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for leading the mechanical assembly teams responsible for the "loadout" of HVAC units at Safe Air Technology. This includes taking completed housings and building them out with compressors, fans, insulation, and all required mechanical components to prepare units for electrical and HVAC integration. This role oversees multiple teams and is accountable for ensuring all mechanical assemblies are completed safely, accurately, and in alignment with production schedules. The Mechanical Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring units are fully prepared and production-ready for the next phase with minimal rework.--- Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Accountability
  • Lead, manage, and hold accountable mechanical teams (Team A & Team B) responsible for unit loadout
  • Set clear expectations for productivity, quality, and workmanship
  • Develop team leads and technicians to improve performance and consistency
  • Address performance issues and enforce company standards Production Execution & Workflow
  • Oversee daily mechanical assembly activities, ensuring units are built according to schedule
  • Coordinate with Operations to prioritize work and allocate resources effectively
  • Monitor workflow to prevent delays, bottlenecks, or incomplete builds
  • Ensure all units are fully prepared and ready for electrical and HVAC teams Mechanical Assembly & Quality
  • Ensure proper installation of compressors, fans, insulation, and all mechanical components
  • Verify all components are installed correctly, securely, and per engineering specifications
  • Enforce standards for cleanliness, organization, and overall build quality
  • Reduce rework by identifying and correcting issues early in the process Process Improvement & Standardization
  • Develop and implement standardized work practices for mechanical assembly
  • Improve efficiency, organization, and consistency across teams
  • Identify recurring issues and drive corrective actions
  • Support training and skill development for team members Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Engineering to ensure clarity of drawings and specifications
  • Partner with Materials and Warehouse to ensure all components are available and accurate
  • Coordinate with Electrical and HVAC teams to ensure smooth handoff between departments
  • Collaborate with QA/QC to ensure quality standards are met Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies
  • Promote a strong safety culture within the mechanical teams
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical assembly, HVAC, or industrial manufacturing
  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components (compressors, fans, insulation, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills Preferred Skills
  • Experience in HVAC system assembly or industrial equipment builds
  • Familiarity with production scheduling and workflow management
  • Experience training and developing team members
  • Experience with ERP or production tracking systems Key Success Factors

  • Ownership mindset with a hands-on approach Classification This is a full-time, salaried exempt position. This role requires the consistent use of independent judgment and discretion in managing teams, production priorities, and quality standards. As such, this position is not eligible for overtime pay.
