Jobs › Ludlow, MA › Mechanical Installer The Butler Corporation Mechanical Installer Ludlow, MA Apply Mechanical Installer / Truck-Mounted Equipment Assembler The Butler Corporation has an opening available for a mechanically inclined individual to assemble and install truck-mounted carpet and floor cleaning equipment at our Ludlow, MA facility. This position is a good fit for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on experience with tools, and the ability to work on vehicles, pumps, plumbing, wiring, and mounted equipment. Previous automotive, industrial, equipment service, or related mechanical experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. The Butler Corporation supplies the necessary tools, equipment, and training for the position.
Responsibilities Responsibilities may include:
Assembling and installing truck-mounted carpet and floor cleaning equipment in vans and trucks Positioning, aligning, and securing equipment such as vacuum units, high-pressure pumps, tanks, hose reels, brackets, and related components Installing PTO drive components in the engine compartment of vans and trucks Cutting, fitting, routing, and connecting high-pressure hoses and plumbing Performing basic 12-volt automotive wiring for control panels and equipment Reading work orders and build instructions to confirm that each installation matches the customer?s order Using hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, hoists, carts, and other shop equipment to safely move, position, and fasten components Following established safety procedures, using required PPE, and maintaining a clean and organized work area Experience and Requirements Qualified candidates should have: Strong mechanical aptitude and assembly skills Previous mechanical experience, equipment service experience, or equivalent schooling preferred Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic shop equipment Familiarity with 12-volt automotive electrical systems preferred Familiarity with pumps, pressure washing systems, high-pressure plumbing, hydraulic systems, or similar equipment preferred Ability to read and understand English-language work orders, labels, and safety instructions Ability to climb in and out of vehicles and work in and around vans, trucks, and mounted equipment Ability to lift and carry parts and components up to 50 lbs. and assist with heavier items using team-lift methods, hoists, carts, or other mechanical assistance Valid driver?s license and acceptable driving record Ability to pass any applicable DOT or medical qualification requirements if required for assigned duties

\$19.00 - \$23.00 per hour, based on experience
Expected Hours:
40 hours per week, with overtime when required
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30
