Salary:
$30 - $34.50 per hour (based on experience) Eligible for Overtime (OT) and Double Time on extended shifts Union Benefits included
Job Summary:
The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic role is responsible for keeping high-speed manufacturing equipment operating at peak performance. This position supports plant reliability through hands-on preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting heavy machinery and large fuel distribution systems, and ensuring compliance with safety and GMP standards. The role plays a key part in supporting innovation and operational excellence initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot high-speed manufacturing equipment Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on heavy machinery and fuel distribution systems Maintain bulk material transfer, processing, packaging, and utilities systems Follow GMPs, SOPs, and plant safety standards to ensure compliance Use computer systems for documentation and technical troubleshooting Collaborate with team members to improve processes and support plant efficiency Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required Technical/trade school or apprenticeship preferred 2-5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or Millwright in a manufacturing environment (high-speed manufacturing preferred) Skilled in safely handling all levels of power voltage Experience in maintaining heavy equipment and large fuel distribution systems Strong teamwork and communication skills Comfortable using computers for documentation and troubleshooting Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work in a manufacturing plant environment with varying temperatures, dust, noise, and mechanical equipment
