Job Description
The Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer - UPE NA Facilities will be responsible for leading all Manufacturing Engineering functions for North America powertrain battery tray/frame, casting, components, engine, and transmission programs. Their primary role is to guide their Engineering team to develop and launch processes that meet all objectives for safety, quality, delivery, and cost for both new model (NM), non-new model (NNM), and adaptation programs.
Main responsibilities include:
Perform assessments for process changes and related investment requirements for cost studiesOversee engineering scope definition, Requests for Quotes (RFQ's), sourcing, technical evaluations, design, manufacturing, and installation of air/mist/coolant collectors and filtrationManage and prioritize the Non-New Model (NNM) powertrain programs requests and ensure that approved programs are completed on time and within budgetManage all New Model (NM) program's facilities aspects including site preparation and machine installationLead Flow activities on programs ensuring successful implementation and tracking of the Iron Triangle (Scope, Timing, and Cost)Lead their team in the implementation of Stellantis Industrial System (SIS) methodology, supporting all activities including deployment of advanced SIS tools and guide systematic root cause problem solving methods to attack risksDevelopment/improvement of process and equipment standards related to facilities infrastructureSupport the Engine/Electrification Manufacturing Plants located in Dundee (MI), Trenton (MI), Toledo (OH), Kokomo (IN) and Saltillo (MX); Transmission Plants in Kokomo and Tipton (IN); Casting Plants in Kokomo (IN) and Etobicoke (ON), Brampton/Windsor (ON), while maintaining a relationship with the Global CoC initiativesDrive standardization across plants in all regionsStrongly partner to contribute to Product Design for Manufacturing processesLead procurement, design, build, install, qualification and launch of facilities and process supporting equipment and infrastructureSupport Stellantis Industrial System (SIS) initiativesCenter of Competency facilities support for NA US, Mexico, Canada region(s)

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in a related technical discipline OR high school diploma/GED with minimum THREE (3) years of experience in Engineering or Manufacturing EngineeringAbility to work and interact with all levels of the organizationStrong oral, written, presentation and organizational skillsAbility to translate technical data and analysis into an executive summary format for presentation in easily understandable formatsAbility to embrace cross-functional teams responsible for developing, specifying, building, and launching powertrain manufacturing productsKnowledge of advanced problem-solving skills and ability to manage data analysis to identify root causes and attack them to closureKnowledge of cost studies and strategic planningMicrosoft Office intermediate or advance knowledgeMust be able to travel 21%-40%Preferred Qualifications:
