Job Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a General Shop Laborer, where your energy and mechanical aptitude will help keep our production running smoothly! In this vital role, you will assist with a variety of hands-on tasks across the factory floor, supporting assembly lines, equipment operation, and warehouse functions. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to efficient manufacturing processes and a safe working environment. This position offers an engaging opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting while ensuring quality and productivity every step of the way. Responsibilities Assist with the setup, operation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment using hand tools and power tools. Support assembly line activities by sorting, moving, and organizing materials and components. Operate forklifts safely to transport raw materials, finished goods, or supplies within the facility. Conduct routine inspections of machinery and work areas to identify potential safety hazards or mechanical issues. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse and production areas to promote safety and efficiency. Support inventory management by stocking supplies, recording materials used, and assisting with shipping or receiving tasks. Follow all safety protocols and manufacturing procedures to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and team members. Experience Previous factory or manufacturing facility experience is highly preferred. Familiarity with assembly line operations and hand tools is beneficial. Experience operating forklifts and power tools is a strong plus; certifications are advantageous but not required. Knowledge of mechanical systems or basic mechanical knowledge helps in troubleshooting equipment issues. Warehouse experience that demonstrates organizational skills and safety awareness is desirable. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining attention to detail under pressure.
