Industrial Maintenance Technician, 2nd Shift (Mechanical Knowledge)

Industrial Maintenance, 2nd Shift (Mechanical knowledge preferred) Biewer Sawmill, Inc. is looking to add a Full Time Industrial Maintenance to our team in McBain, MI. This position will maintain equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Wednesday Rotation / 5:30pm-5:30am

Accountabilities:

Primary responsibilities will include: Answering breakdown calls in all departments when needed. Use oils, lubricants, and other chemicals. Perform maintenance on rolling stock. Hot works and fabrication. Troubleshoots and repairs electrical components (breakers, disconnects, motors, etc.) Performs Lockout procedures as needed. Responsibly follows all safety procedures and policies, works together with co-workers to ensure a safe working environment, and reports all accidents or unsafe conditions to the supervisor. Assist in performing other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent 3-5 Years experience preferred in Industrial maintenance/electrical General Mechanical knowledge such as industrial maintenance, electrical experience, hand and power tool usage Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Proficient computer skills. Advanced knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, torching, arc welding and electrical principles. Ability to safely operate forklift, scissor lift, and manual lift. Reasoning ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
