Job Description

Job Summary Dismantles, rebuilds, adjusts, cleans, inspects, repairs, paints, assembles (including electrical hookup) adapts equipment for demonstration and/or development tests, operate all equipment for a variety of tests, maintains primary and auxiliary equipment and facilities. Read and interpret applicable blueprints and disassemble machinery using hand and other required power tools. Fits and lays out mating parts of assemblies: locates, scribes, and/or spot punches the parts for additional machining. Replace defective or worn parts and reassembles machinery. Adjust clearance and timing of control devices to specifications in line with his/her ability. Assemble, operate, disassemble, clean up and reassemble all primary and auxiliary machinery as required or according to written or verbal instructions. Set-up and prepare all primary and auxiliary equipment and establish rates as instructed. Operate all primary and auxiliary test machinery, and record pertinent data within the criteria prescribed or as directed. As required and directed, conducts routine evaluation of sample materials. Modifies components for tests as required to provide a successful demonstration. Minimum Qualifications Knowledge equivalent to completion of accredited apprenticeship training or three years of technical training courses beyond high school. Three to five years of experience to perform the duties and techniques involved and to attain desired performance standards. Knowledge and Skills Preferred Solid background to efficiently TIG weld stainless steel. Industrial commercial equipment painting Operate general shop machinery to support customer requirements. Possess knowledge on the use of hand tools, small power tools and precision measuring instruments. Must be able to read and interpret a wide variety of blueprints and schematics, including hydraulic blueprints. Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and/or pipe fitting
