Back Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer-Machining#2015109 Trenton, Michigan, United StatesApply X Facebook LinkedIn Email Copy Job Description Responsible for leading all Manufacturing Engineering functions for North America powertrain battery tray/frame, casting, components, engine, and transmission programs. Their primary role is to guide their Engineering team to develop and launch processes that meet all objectives for safety, quality, delivery, and cost for both new model (NM), non-new model (NNM), and adaptation programs.
Main responsibilities include:
Perform assessments for process changes and related investment requirements for cost studiesOversee engineering scope definition, Requests for Quotes (RFQ's), sourcing, technical evaluations, design, manufacturing, and installation of air/mist/coolant collectors and filtrationManage and prioritize the Non-New Model (NNM) powertrain programs requests and ensure that approved programs are completed on time and within budgetManage all New Model (NM) program's facilities aspects including site preparation and machine installationLead Flow activities on programs ensuring successful implementation and tracking of the Iron Triangle (Scope, Timing, and Cost)Lead their team in the implementation of Stellantis Industrial System (SIS) methodology, supporting all activities including deployment of advanced SPW tools and guide systematic root cause problem solving methods to attack risksDevelopment/improvement of process and equipment standards related to facilities infrastructure.
Support the Engine Manufacturing Plants located in Dundee (MI), Trenton (MI), Kokomo (IN) and Saltillo (MX); Transmission Plants in Kokomo and Tipton (IN); Casting Plants in Kokomo (IN) and Etobicoke (ON), while maintaining a relationship with the Global CoC initiatives.
Drive standardization across plants in all regionsStrongly partner to contribute to Product Design for Manufacturing processesLead procurement, design, build, install, qualification and launch of facilities and process supporting equipment and infrastructureSupport Stellantis Production Way initiativesCenter of Competency facilities support for NAFTA region Location(s) 2300 Van Horn Road, Trenton, Michigan 48183,

United States Requirements Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology or technical equivalent, advanced degree preferredMinimum 10 years manufacturing experience, Powertrain Manufacturing experience a plusMinimum of 5 years' experience in program management or multi-tasking environmentMust be able to work and interact with all levels of the organizationMust have strong oral, written, presentation and organizational skillsMust have knowledge about GD&T, Statistical Process Control knowledge, tooling, jigs & fixture design, machining processesAbility to translate technical data and analysis into an executive summary format for presentationAbility to analyze, interpret and present data to all levels of the company in easily understandable formatsAbility to implement SPW principles and ability to lead effectively in a bargaining unit environmentAbility to embrace cross-functional teams responsible for developing, specifying, building, and launching powertrain manufacturing processesDemonstrated abilities to plan and execute large scale projects in time and budgetAbility to effectively lead, teach, coach and mentor employeesStrong leadership skills with the ability to build and develop the best teamsKnowledge of advanced problem-solving skills and ability to manage data analysis to identify root causes and attack them to closureKnowledge of cost studies and strategic planning a plusHigh demonstration of leadership and teamwork characteristicsAutocad, Teamcenter, 3D modelling Software use like Solidworks, NX, Microsoft Office intermediate or advance knowledge, G Suite applications a plus Employment Type Full-time Stellantis At Stellantis, we assess candidates based on qualifications, merit, and business needs.
