Medical (HSA contribution), Dental, Vision, Short-Term Disability, Accident & Life Overview Midwest Fire Equipment & Repair Company is seeking a Fire Apparatus Fabricator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on fabrication work and takes pride in building high-quality components. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Perform fabrication of fire apparatus components Operate fabrication equipment including press brake, shear, and Piranha Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Measure, cut, and form metal materials to specifications Complete welding tasks using wire feed and TIG processes as needed - training will be provided for the right canidate. Assist in the implementation and sustainment of 5S and lean manufacturing initiatives Maintain a clean and organized work area Safely operate hand and power tools Collaborate with team members to meet production and quality standards Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Experience operating fabrication equipment Welding experience (wire feed and/or TIG) a plus but not required; willingness to learn required—training provided for the right candidate Strong work ethic and positive attitude Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to read and interpret blueprints preferred Pre-Employment Requirements Successful candidates must complete: Physical examination Background check Drug screening
