Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a Preventive Maintenance Crew Member to join our industrial maintenance team at a manufacturing facility. This role involves performing scheduled inspections, servicing equipment, and ensuring the optimal operation of machinery and systems to prevent unexpected failures. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, with experience in industrial maintenance practices. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the efficiency and safety of our operations through proactive maintenance strategies. Responsibilities Needs to be mechanically inclined. Needs to be able to read/write English. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, HVAC systems, and electrical components. Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to plan and execute maintenance tasks. Perform repairs using precision measuring instruments, welding (including <
LOCATION
> welding), and mechanical tools. Operate field service equipment such as scissor lifts and forklifts safely to access high or hard-to-reach areas. Troubleshoot issues related to low voltage, high voltage, and control systems involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Document maintenance activities accurately in CMMS and generate reports for analysis and planning. Assist with the calibration of measurement instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters to ensure precision. Support safety protocols by adhering to electrical safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures during maintenance. Collaborate with technical sales teams when necessary to provide customer service or technical support. Participate in training sessions to stay current with industrial mechanics, HVAC/R systems, and new maintenance technologies. Experience Proven industrial mechanic experience within a manufacturing facility environment. Strong electrical experience, including working with low voltage, high voltage, and industrial electrician tasks. Knowledge of hydraulics, welding (including <LOCATION
> welding), schematics, and mechanical systems. Experience operating diagnostic tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other precision instruments. Familiarity with CMMS software for scheduling and documenting maintenance activities. Hands-on experience with HVAC/R systems, scissor lifts, and field service operations. Background in industrial maintenance with a focus on analysis skills for troubleshooting complex machinery issues. Previous military experience or technical training in related fields is considered advantageous. Ability to communicate effectively in English across diverse teams and customer interactions. Demonstrated commitment to safety standards and quality assurance in an industrial setting. This role is essential for maintaining the reliability of manufacturing operations through diligent preventive maintenance.
