Job Description

What your day could look like You start your shift by reviewing operator notes, machine status indicators, and CMMS work orders. A subtle vibration on a blower catches your attention—your knowledge of rotating equipment failure modes kicks in. You schedule a precision alignment and lubrication check before it becomes a problem. Midday, you partner with electrical, process, and reliability teammates to prioritize tasks for your area of the plant. Later, you support utilities—steam, compressed air, chilled water, and cooling towers—then close the day by updating RCA notes and coaching a teammate on safe, high-quality maintenance practices in line with our ISO/TS quality system and 5S standards. Core impact Proactively identify failure points by interpreting operator feedback, understanding machine indications, and recommending corrective actions. Maintain, repair, and suggest upgrades for process assets: blowers, chillers, compressors, boilers, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, industrial HVAC, extruders, heaters, dehumidifiers, web conveyance, winding, slitting, and related equipment. Apply best practices in rotating equipment care—lubrication, precision alignment, balancing, and condition inspections—to prevent unplanned downtime. Strengthen the maintenance management system through Root Cause Analysis and error elimination with a preventive mindset. Collaborate with electrical, process, and reliability peers to prioritize work and investments for your assigned production area. Support our ISO/TS quality management system by maintaining equipment to a high standard and supplying feedback that protects critical-to-quality processes.
Maintain plant utilities:
steam, compressed air, chilled water, cooling tower water, exhaust fans, and associated systems. Partner with engineering on design, installation, startup, shutdown, and planned maintenance of new or modified equipment in accordance with US and Freudenberg safety procedures and standards. Uphold workmanship excellence, housekeeping, and 5S before, during, and after every task. Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide expert, hands-on maintenance support. Coach and train maintenance teammates to improve reliability and safety outcomes. What you bring Two-year technical degree in Industrial Systems or related discipline preferred (experience may substitute); certifications in PLCs, Hydraulics, and/or Pneumatics are a plus. 0-5 years of industrial technical support; exposure to extrusion, plastics, and web handling/winding is beneficial. Familiarity with CMMS for preventive and corrective work tracking is preferred. Training/experience in pipefitting, sheet metal fabrication, and welding preferred.
