Full-Time | Steady Overtime Available (typically 5-6 days/week | 12-hour shifts) About Asgard Resources Asgard Resources is a rapidly growing frac sand processing company operating in Western North Dakota and Eastern Montana. Since 2019, we have become a trusted supplier to oil and gas operations across the United States. We are currently seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined Industrial Plant Mechanic to help maintain and repair equipment at our frac sand processing facility. This is a hands-on role for someone who can troubleshoot problems, respond quickly to breakdowns, and help keep plant operations running safely and efficiently. Responsibilities Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plant equipment and machinery Perform preventative maintenance on conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, screens, bearings, hydraulics, and related systems Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize operational downtime Replace worn or damaged components and make necessary adjustments Assist with installation and setup of new equipment Perform light welding and fabrication as needed Conduct routine safety inspections and maintenance checks Use hand tools, power tools, welders, meters, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively Work closely with plant operations and management teams to support production goals Maintain compliance with MSHA safety standards and company policies Preferred Qualifications Previous mechanic or maintenance experience in industrial, mining, aggregate, construction, agriculture, oilfield, or frac sand operations preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability Experience with conveyors, pumps, bearings, gearboxes, hydraulics, motors, and processing equipment preferred Welding and fabrication experience is a plus Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Safety-focused mindset with strong attention to detail Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including outdoor weather exposure, dust, noise, and temperature changes Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work extended hours when needed Willingness to work overtime, weekends, call-ins, or rotating shifts as operational needs require Additional Information MSHA experience is preferred but not required Individuals with their own tools and/or work truck may be compensated accordingly Training provided for the right candidate Benefits Two health insurance plan options Company contributes 70% toward employee and dependent medical coverage Company-paid life insurance and AD&D Optional dental, vision, accident, hospital indemnity, and supplemental coverage available Competitive pay based on experience Opportunities for advancement and long-term growth Apply Today Local candidates within commuting distance of Bainville / Williston are strongly encouraged to apply.
