Friday Job Objective:
Safely perform troubleshooting, diagnostic analysis, repair, and routine maintenance of production equipment following established Standard Operating Procedures. Maintain Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost standards.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.
  • Perform diagnostic analysis, troubleshooting, repair, overhaul, and routine maintenance of equipment.
  • Make minor adjustments to ensure product meets specifications.
  • Restart equipment following shutdown, ensuring proper operation
  • Doff loom pancakes and transfer to carts.
  • Assist Weavers to Operate set (s) of looms. Repair breaks, draw
  • in, repair smashes, perform style changes, ensure construction conforms to style sheets.
  • Notifies appropriate personnel of any incidents or situations that would trigger implementation of the contingency plan
  • May perform emergency response duties as required by management
  • Move chemicals and or waste within the facility and maintain chemical storge areas in a clean, orderly manner.
  • Follows applicable EHS department procedures
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
  • Excellent attendance is required.
  • Ability to work overtime as required or requested including extended shifts and weekends; overtime will be required
Job Qualifications:
  • Must have mechanical aptitude, including troubleshooting. Experience with service and repair of complex production machinery and equipment including electrical and mechanical components a plus.
  • Abiltiy to be certified to complete lockout/tagout operations and to complete Hazardous Communications training.
  • Ability to be certified to operate a powered industrial trucks.
  • Ability to read and interpret dials, gauges, rulers, equipment service manuals, and general instructions.
  • Ability to accurately complete paperwork and data entry.
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Ability to learn independently including book, web-base and classroom participation.
  • Previous textile manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Full-time presence required
  • Additional tasks as assigned
