The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in industrial maintenance, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment. This role involves working with programmable logic controllers, hydraulics, electrical systems, and precision measuring instruments to ensure optimal operation of manufacturing processes. The technician will also support technical sales and customer service efforts as needed, demonstrating excellent analysis skills and a commitment to safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems. Troubleshoot issues using schematics, control diagrams, and diagnostic tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters. Maintain and update CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) records for all maintenance activities. Operate and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure machinery meets specifications. Conduct welding operations, including welding, and perform mechanical modifications or fabrications as required. Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to diagnose and resolve automation issues. Support field service activities, including troubleshooting on-site at customer locations when necessary. Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades while adhering to safety protocols. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and system documentation for effective troubleshooting and repairs. Use scissor lifts or other industrial equipment safely for elevated work tasks. Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance procedures and operational efficiency. Experience Proven industrial mechanic experience within manufacturing facilities or related environments. Strong electrical experience including low voltage, high voltage, industrial electrician skills, and familiarity with HVAC/R systems. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CMMS software, hydraulic systems, welding (including welding), and mechanical repairs. Knowledge of schematics, analysis skills for troubleshooting complex machinery issues, and the use of precision instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters. Background in industrial maintenance with a focus on electrical, mechanical, or combined disciplines is highly desirable. Prior experience in field service or customer-facing roles is a plus. Military background or technical training in related fields is advantageous. Ability to communicate effectively in English is required for documentation and teamwork purposes.
