Field Service Journeyman Mechanic

Job Summary:

We are currently hiring a Field Service Mechanic to join our team. This position involves traveling to job sites to diagnose, repair and maintain heavy equipment using a 26,000 GVW service truck. We are looking for a dependable, self-motivated individual who can work independently in the field.

Responsibilities:

• Travel to job sites to perform mechanical repairs and maintenance
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
• Perform emergency and routine field service repairs
• Operate and maintain a 26,000 GVW service truck
• Complete service documentation and communicate updates clearly
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a mechanic (heavy equipment, diesel or similar preferred)
• Ability to operate a 26,000 GVW service truck
• Valid Driver's License (CDL may be preferred)
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong work ethic and reliability

Preferred Skills:

• Diesel engine experience
• Heavy equipment repair experience
• Hydraulic and electrical systems knowledge
• Welding or fabrication experience
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Work Environment:

• Field-based position with travel to job sites required
