Mechanical Assembly Technician Location:
Henrietta, NY Summary:
Nesco Resource is partnered with a top-tier manufacturing company in Henrietta, NY seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Mechanical Assembly Technician. This temp-to-perm opportunity provides candidates the chance to demonstrate their skills and transition into a permanent position based on performance and business needs. The Mechanical Assembly Technician will perform precision assembly work, ensuring components are properly fitted, aligned, inspected, and finished according to quality standards. This role is ideal for individuals with mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
Pay Rate:
$18.00•$20.00/Hour (Based On Experience) Shift(s):

7:00 AM•3:30 PM | Monday•
Friday Job Duties:
Assemble components and subassemblies according to blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions Clean, prepare, and inspect parts before assembly Operate lamination presses to construct units and subassemblies Properly tag parts, assemblies, and finished products for tracking purposes Perform quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications and requirements Identify assembly defects and make corrections as needed Modify or fabricate components using basic shop equipment when required Measure and verify part dimensions and tolerances using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other precision tools Follow established assembly procedures and quality standards Communicate production progress, concerns, and issues to supervisors Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required 1-2 years of mechanical assembly or manufacturing experience preferred Ability to read and follow blueprints, diagrams, and technical instructions Basic computer skills including navigation and data entry Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry 20-30 lbs.
