Job Description
Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Plant Mechanic to join our manufacturing team. This hands-on role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of precision manufacturing equipment and facility systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with industrial electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, HVAC, plumbing, and heating systems. While training on company-specific equipment and plant layout will be provided, candidates are expected to have substantial experience in industrial maintenance and repair. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment in a precision machine shop and foundry environment. Diagnose and execute emergency repairs to minimize equipment downtime. Install, modify, upgrade, and commission manufacturing equipment and systems. Maintain and update equipment documentation, schematics, and maintenance records to reflect modifications and improvements. Troubleshoot and repair facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, steam, and hot water systems. Collaborate with production teams to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency. Coordinate and work with external contractors and vendors on subcontracted maintenance and repair projects. Adhere to all company safety standards, policies, and best practices. Required Qualifications Ability to communicate effectively in English. Proven experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, or a related field. Strong knowledge of industrial electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals. Proficiency in using a digital multimeter and standard mechanic's tools. Experience with metal and wood fabrication. Strong commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices. Preferred Qualifications Stick welding experience. Experience working in manufacturing, machine shop, foundry, or industrial environments. Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, steam, and hot water systems. Additional Requirements Successful completion of a background check. Successful completion of a drug screening.
