Job Description
About the Role As an Industrial Facilities Technician, you will serve as a critical member of our operations team, ensuring that high-performance thermal processing equipment remains in peak condition. Your expertise in mechanical and electrical systems will directly impact production uptime, safety standards, and the overall efficiency of our manufacturing facility. Responsibilities Execute comprehensive preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of industrial machinery. Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical malfunctions to restore equipment functionality rapidly. Perform precision installations and replacements of critical components, including bearings, chains, and drive belts. Interpret technical blueprints and schematics to guide accurate repairs and system upgrades. Conduct structural and equipment repairs using MIG welding techniques to maintain operational integrity. Manage general facility upkeep and equipment movement using forklift operations to ensure a safe, organized workspace. Document maintenance activities and communicate status updates using standard office software applications. Qualifications Required Skills 2-4 years of hands-on maintenance experience within a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial setting. Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting both electrical and mechanical systems. Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks in a demanding industrial environment. Experience with MIG welding and basic metal fabrication. Preferred Skills Prior certification or documented experience operating industrial forklifts. Strong commitment to safety protocols and industrial best practices. Experience working with thermal processing or vacuum furnace equipment.
