Job Description
Keep Our St. Clair Plant Running Strong Based at the St. Clair Plant in Eaton, OH, you'll install, service, and repair production machinery, facility systems, piping, and electrical infrastructure to keep operations safe, reliable, and efficient. A day in the life Diagnose root causes behind equipment failures and out-of-control process conditions, restoring assets to full capability. Disassemble faulty machines, replace or install repaired/new components, and handle minor mechanical repairs end-to-end. Install and service plant electrical systems and components—including transformers, wiring, and machine electrical/electronic assemblies. Build, install, and maintain pipe runs and associated hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Repair and upkeep the plant's physical structure and building systems. Set up and operate lathes, grinders, mills, drill presses, and related machine tools to fabricate or rework parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools. Carry out routine preventive maintenance to extend asset life and prevent downtime. Perform equipment repairs such as unit-level service on hydraulic pumps and resolution of electrical issues. Execute Continuous Improvement project work orders to enhance reliability and safety. Log, track, and communicate job progress using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Partner with reliability team members to source, order, and stock critical parts and tooling. Work any assigned shift and support overtime when needed to meet production demands. Minimum qualifications High school diploma and at least five years of hands-on experience maintaining electrical, technical, and mechanical equipment. Preferred qualifications Associate's degree with a minimum of two years maintaining electrical, technical, and mechanical systems. Background in industrial maintenance or a closely related discipline. Physical demands Frequent walking, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and bending. Extensive time on the production floor; prolonged standing and walking. Regular use of hands, including work in tight or confined areas. Occasional lifting, generally under 50 lbs. Ability to hear standard conversational speech. Qualification to operate powered industrial equipment. Color vision required.
