Industrial Maintenance Mechanic — Blow Molding & Packaging Systems

A day in this role You walk the floor before the lines start, checking setpoints and safety interlocks. A stretch blow molder throws a fault. You plug in your PLC interface, meter a sensor, swap a VFD cooling fan, and have product flowing again in minutes. Later, you realign a conveyor chain, coach a teammate through a hydraulic leak diagnosis, and log your work in MaintainX. Before heading out, you brief the next shift so they're set up for success and finalize your end‑of‑shift report. How you'll make an impact Own preventive and corrective maintenance across manufacturing assets: extrusion and stretch blow molders (EBM, SBM), conveyors, packers, and integrated automation. Tackle situations that demand creative adaptation, deep research, and advanced problem solving. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues using hand/power tools, multimeters, PLC interfaces, and more. Mentor maintenance teammates; share best practices and elevate technician skills. Partner with production to reduce downtime and maximize throughput and quality. Coordinate daily/nightly cross‑shift handoffs; complete accurate end‑of‑shift reports. Maintain precise logs and update equipment records in our CMMS (MaintainX). Support equipment installs, upgrades, and process improvements. Communicate clearly with both maintenance peers and the operations team. Champion safety and compliance—follow LOTO, GMP, and PPE policies at all times. What you bring 5+ years of industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience. Expert troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Hands‑on work with PLCs, VFDs, and industrial automation platforms. Fluency reading technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

Practical machining/fabrication background:

mills, lathes, grinders, welding, etc. Familiarity with CMMS tools and preventive maintenance scheduling. Proactive, self‑directed approach; strong team collaborator.
