As our Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, you'll be the go-to pro ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and safeguarding a safe, efficient operation. A Day in the Role Start your shift by reviewing work orders and preventive maintenance tasks. You'll move from line to line performing inspections, lubrication, calibrations, and adjustments. When a machine trips a fault, you'll jump in—diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or HVAC issues—and get production moving again. You'll collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality to fine-tune performance, document what you've done, and plan improvements for the next run. Some days include installing or modifying equipment, assisting with testing and startup, or supporting shutdowns, changeovers, and special projects. Throughout, you'll keep your area organized and always follow company safety, food safety, quality, and environmental procedures. Core Responsibilities Execute preventive maintenance, inspections, and precision repairs on production machinery and facility systems Quickly troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC issues Respond to emergency breakdowns to reduce downtime and restore operations Maintain accurate work orders, maintenance logs, and equipment history Assist with equipment installs, modifications, testing, and commissioning Partner with Production, Engineering, and Quality to elevate reliability and throughput Participate in continuous improvement activities and recommend process enhancements Support plant shutdowns, line changeovers, and special initiatives Uphold a safe, orderly, and clean workspace Follow all safety, food safety, quality, and environmental standards Required Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent 2+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, industrial, food production, or similar settings Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting ability Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals Skilled with hand tools, power tools, precision measuring devices, and diagnostic instruments Effective working independently and collaboratively Strong problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills Willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed Preferred Qualifications Technical degree, apprenticeship, or vocational training in Maintenance, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, Electrical Technology, or related fields Experience with PLCs, automation systems, VFDs, robotics, and industrial controls Skilled trade certifications (Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Welding, etc.) Food manufacturing background and knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) Physical Requirements Stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and climb for extended periods Regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs Work at heights and in confined spaces when required Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Work Environment Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to: Moving machinery and industrial equipment Temperature variations Noise Industrial chemicals Safety is paramount—everyone follows company safety, food safety, quality, and environmental standards.
