Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Vacuum Cooler Mechanic to join our manufacturing facility team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing vacuum cooling systems that are critical to our production processes. Your expertise will ensure the continuous operation of complex machinery, uphold safety standards, and improve system efficiencies. This position offers an exciting opportunity for industrial mechanics with a passion for technical excellence and problem-solving in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on vacuum cooling equipment and associated systems. Use schematics, technical manuals, and control diagrams to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues accurately. Maintain and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure system accuracy and performance. Conduct welding, hydraulic repairs, and mechanical adjustments as needed to restore equipment functionality. Collaborate with the manufacturing team to schedule preventative maintenance using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software. Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to high voltage, HVAC/R systems, and industrial maintenance standards. Assist with technical sales support by providing expert advice on system upgrades or replacements when necessary. Use forklifts such as scissor lifts safely for access during maintenance tasks in elevated or hard-to-reach areas. Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing system performance data and recommending enhancements. Skills Extensive experience working within manufacturing facilities, especially with industrial cooling systems like vacuum coolers. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience in industrial settings, including low voltage and high voltage systems. Proficiency in reading schematics, technical drawings, and control diagrams related to HVAC/R and industrial machinery. Skilled in welding techniques ; capable of performing hydraulic repairs and adjustments. Knowledge of HVAC systems, industrial electrician practices, and safety procedures involving high voltage environments. Ability to operate scissor lifts safely for maintenance work at elevated heights. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on field service support within a manufacturing setting. Strong analysis skills for troubleshooting complex mechanical-electrical issues efficiently. Pay based on experience. Competitive wages available Full medical package, 401k with 4% match, PTO, etc
