Job Description

Position Summary Provide leadership, technical guidance, and support to the Assembly and Paint Shops Position Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with the general assembly manager to establish work priorities and ensure that all promised customer shipment dates are achieved.
  • Assist with assigning work to department personnel based on skill and ensure that established assembly methods are consistently followed.
  • Ensure that all work orders and employee labor entries are properly updated and completed promptly.
  • Assists in resolving on-the-job technical problems.
  • Inspects all completed equipment before release for shipment.
  • Participate in personnel performance assessments and offer suggestions for improvement.
  • Maintains adherence to Company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
  • Promote a positive, professional atmosphere and ensure a safe working environment by demonstrating consistent adherence to all Empire policies and safety guidelines.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Reporting to this position
  • This position will initially provide support to the Cabinet, Dust Collector, Pressure Vessel, Rooms, and Sub-Assembly areas without direct reports. Essential Skills and Experience
  • A 2-year technical degree is required; a 4-year mechanical engineering degree is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years' successful experience as a technical lead or supervisor in an electro-mechanical assembly environment.
  • Mechanical ability and experience working with a variety of small hand tools.
  • Knowledge of electricity and ability to read simple blueprints and schematics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to solve practical problems, assign tasks, and effectively engage personnel. Beneficial Skills and Experience
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Experience with 3D CAD software such as
Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks Pay:
From $80,000.00 per year
