Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shift Mechanic to join our maintenance team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment during your assigned shift. Your expertise will keep production running efficiently by performing routine inspections, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and executing timely repairs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced environment where safety, precision, and proactive maintenance are paramount. Responsibilities Conduct thorough inspections of machinery and equipment at the start and throughout your shift to identify potential issues before they escalate. Troubleshoot mechanical problems using diagnostic tools, including Ohmmeters, to measure electrical resistance and verify circuit integrity. Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on various mechanical systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used to support operational transparency. Collaborate with team members to prioritize repairs, coordinate shutdowns, and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times. Assist in troubleshooting electrical components by utilizing appropriate testing devices and following safety procedures. Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards to promote a safe working environment for all. Qualifications Proven experience as a mechanic or maintenance technician in an industrial or manufacturing setting. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical components, and troubleshooting techniques. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as Ohmmeters to test electrical circuits accurately. Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints with ease. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges. Ability to work independently during assigned shifts while maintaining high safety standards. Relevant certifications or training in mechanical repair or electrical systems are preferred.
