Job Description

Job Summary:
Messer operates a world class fleet equipment upfitting and refurbishment center in beautiful Chattanooga, TN. Due to continued growth at the facility, the position of Mechanic Assembly Technician is currently open. Why Messer? Principal Responsibilities:
This position works in the main trailer refurbishment shop to perform final assembly duties on refurbished trailers. Workstreams in the final assembly process include: Hydraulic assembly Electrical wiring and assembly Mechanical assembly Decaling Systems testing and quality control documentation
Required Skills:
Site works a 45 hour week minimum, per DOT guidelines. Willing to work nights and weekends on an as needed basis A strong mechanical aptitude, with a high degree of pride in craftsmanship Own set of basic maintenance/technician tools
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED Demonstrated ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience as a fabricator, mechanic, electrician, or other trade a plus Prior vehicle technician experience a plus Familiarity with commercial vehicle systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, wiring, etc.) a plus Ability to weld a plus, but not required
