English Full Job Description Industrial Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Specialist Schedule:
3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (evenings) Is this you? Do you thrive on troubleshooting complex equipment—electrical, mechanical, and controls—under production pressure? Can you read schematics, dissect root causes, and return assets to service quickly and safely? Are you comfortable around ammonia and Freon systems, heat exchangers, pumps, and compressors? Will you jump in to operate a line when needed to stabilize throughput and cut downtime? If you answered yes, you'll excel in this role keeping our manufacturing systems reliable and our product quality consistent—every shift. Your impact Own preventive maintenance execution, troubleshooting, and repairs across production and facility equipment. Ensure equipment readiness and materials availability before each run; verify ice quality by checking clarity, cube size, and hole spacing. Operate processing machinery when needed to improve flow and reduce downtime. Support utilities and water plant operations: Ice Makers, Compressors, Heat Exchangers, Ammonia/Freon Refrigeration Systems, Pumps, Condensers, and related assets. Manage spare parts and tooling—order, track, and control inventory to sustain safe, optimal performance. Apply RCA and implement countermeasures; use basic data analysis to identify patterns and failure modes. Perform minor building and grounds tasks (lighting, paint, minor structural fixes) and coach others on tool/equipment use. Assist with bagging as needed and occasionally help direct workflow based on equipment output. Independently handle basic electrical/electronic maintenance. Complete required safety checklists and proactively address industrial health and safety issues. Follow advanced electrical and chemical safety procedures; uphold our Code of Business Ethics. What you bring Required background 6-8 years in industrial maintenance.
One of the following certifications:
Journeyman Certification/License (Electrical, Plumbing, or Mechanical — State Certifying Authority) Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator — Refrigerating Engineers and Technicians Association Certified Maintenance Technician Level III — International Maintenance Institute Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician — Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals Preferred background 1.8+ years in industrial maintenance.
Two of the following:
Programmable Logic Controller Certification — Electronics Technicians Association International Journeyman Certification/License (Electrical, Plumbing, or Mechanical — State Certifying Authority) Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator — Refrigerating Engineers and Technicians Association Certified Maintenance Technician Level III — International Maintenance Institute Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician — Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals High School diploma or GED Environment and physical demands Work spans office and plant settings with exposure to extreme temperatures, electrical hazards, ammonia, and heavy moving equipment. Evenings, nights, and weekends are part of the role with occasional travel; overtime may be required. The pace is fast and dynamic, requiring stress management, strong collaboration, and sound judgment. You'll use hand and heavy electric tools and must be able to lift a minimum of 45 lbs.
