The Industrial Mechanic keeps our production and facility assets safe, reliable, and available. In this hands-on role, you will perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance; troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues; and support the installation and startup of new equipment to manufacturer specifications. You'll document work and parts usage in the CMMS, collaborate with production to reduce downtime and improve throughput, and uphold all safety policies and procedures. As needed, you will complete general facility maintenance (plumbing, electrical, HVAC), respond to urgent maintenance requests, maintain a clean and organized work area, and participate in ongoing training. This position reports to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager at our Fort Worth, TX facility.
Position Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform timely repairs to minimize downtime. Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of parts and supplies. Collaborate with production teams to address maintenance issues and improve operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards. Participate in training programs to enhance skills and stay current with industry advancements. Perform general facility maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs as needed. Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner. Maintain a clean and organized work environment and adhere to all safety protocols.
Basic Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Industrial Mechanic in an industrial or manufacturing setting. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Familiarity with maintenance management software is a plus. Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including schematics and blueprints. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as required.
Desired Qualities:
Previous hands-on experience in industrial or manufacturing environments, with exposure to heavy machinery, rotating equipment, and production systems. Dependable and accountable, with consistent attendance and delivery of high-quality work. Results-driven, self-starter mindset with a strong sense of accountability.
