Entry Pump Mechanic - Shop Hand

We are seeking a mechanically inclined Shop Worker to join our client in the NW Houston area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, basic welding skills, and an understanding of shop tools. $18-$20/hr.

DOE Dayshift Responsibilities:

Assist in the assembly, disassembly, and repair of pumps and related equipment. Utilize basic hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment to perform tasks efficiently and safely. Perform minor welding operations as needed for assembly and repairs. Safely operate forklifts for the movement of heavy materials (Forklift Certification is a plus). Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Follow safety guidelines and company protocols for all shop operations. Work collaboratively with the team to meet project deadlines and quality standards. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of shop equipment. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth workflow.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience in a mechanical or shop environment. Basic knowledge of hand tools and mechanical equipment. Some welding experience is required. Forklift Certification is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and quality.
